Copilot— Follow-ups, @Mentions: Copilot users can now see suggested follow-up questions for each query in the Knowledge Base, streamlining their next step. Copilot also supports the @<filename> feature, enabling users to quickly summarize any mentioned file for faster access to key information. Learn more.

Egnyte iOS and Android App— Viewer-Only Permission: Egnyte iOS and Android App users with viewer-only permission can now access and preview folder contents. This enhances secure sharing by disabling file downloads, ensuring that sensitive information can be viewed without the risk of unauthorized access. Learn more about the iOS and Android updates.
Egnyte iOS App— Document Scanner Enhancements: The Egnyte iOS app has been updated to enhance the document scanning experience with a new framework. This includes multi-page scanning in a single session, automatic document scanning, and enhanced scan quality through VisionKit's imaging capabilities for better clarity and edge detection. Opening Links Directly in the Desktop App: Egnyte now enables direct file and folder access in the Desktop App from the Web UI, enhancing the link-opening experience. Users can now choose how files behave when opened in the Desktop App instead of the folder opening automatically by default. Learn more.

Unused Permissions and User Activity Issues Reports: Users can now create a report on unused permissions for Egnyte content, listing inactive permissions. They can also generate a User Activity Issues report to track suspicious activities, with filters to view details by issue type or specific users. Learn more.
Industry Solutions
BIM File Preview and Project Folders: To enable quicker viewing, BIM files over 10MB in Egnyte are preprocessed. This update allows users to access larger files more quickly while keeping the process efficient for smaller files. Learn more.
Overlay-based Comparison: Egnyte offers text-based and overlay-based document comparison, which is ideal for documents with drawings. It highlights unique and differing elements between versions, helping users quickly identify changes in both text and visuals. Learn more.
Custom Metadata for TMF Documents: Users can now utilize Egnyte's platform metadata capabilities to view document metadata directly within eTMF, accessible as a new section under the "Details" tab. This improves visibility and streamlines access to critical document information. Learn more.
Other Enhancements and Releases
Web UI— Revamped Homepage: Egnyte's new homepage features easy-to-access widgets like Copilot Hub, bookmarks, recent files, and Secure & Govern. Users can customize the homepage by choosing which widgets to show or hide, making it easier to access important tools and information efficiently. Learn more.
Connected Folders— Enhancements (Limited Availability): Users can now use Connected Folders with external devices like flash drives. Up to 250 GB of NTFS and exFAT drives are supported. Learn more.
